The Eleonov Leather Vest is a composition of waxed linen, woven goat leather, and metal chainwork each element shaped and placed with intention to create a surface that feels both protective and fluid. Asymmetrical lines move across the body with direction and tension, while the woven textures introduce depth, movement, and tactile richness.
At the core of this piece lies an intensive process of handcraft. Strips of goat leather are individually cut and interwoven with metal chain, forming detailed paneling that resembles a contemporary interpretation of armor softened through flexibility, texture, and wearability. The process requires patience, precision, and careful hand construction to maintain balance between strength and movement.
There is something instinctive in its presence. The vest carries a grounded yet elevated energy where craftsmanship becomes expression, and the body becomes framed through layered material and form.
The waxed linen body introduces subtle depth and a soft sheen, contrasting against the density of the woven leather and chainwork.
