Visual Measurement Guide

Use these visual references to better understand where to place the measuring tape for waist, hip, inseam, and other key measurements.

How to Measure

Stand naturally with your arms at your sides. Use a soft measuring tape, keeping it straight, level, and snug — not too loose or tight.

Chest / Bust

Measure under your arms around the fullest part of your chest or bust, keeping the tape horizontal.

Waist

Measure around your natural waistline, usually slightly above or below the belly button.

Hips

With feet together, measure around the fullest part of your hips, keeping the tape horizontal.

Shoulder

Measure across your back from one shoulder point to the other.

Arm Length

Bend your elbow 90 degrees and place your hand on your hip. Measure from the center back of the neck, across the shoulder and elbow, down to the wrist.

Torso Length

Measure from the top of the shoulder down through the fullest part of the bust to the crotch area.

Rise

Measure from the inner thigh seam to the top of the waistband. This tells where the pant sits on your waist.

Inseam

Measure from the crotch seam down to the bottom of the leg or hem.

Outseam

Measure from the top of the waistband down to the hem of the pants.

A surface of rupture, movement, and controlled release.

The Fissure Coat is a sculptural composition of fragmented lines and layered construction each element shaped and placed with intention to create a shifting landscape across the body. The forms break and separate like tectonic plates, revealing depth, contrast, and a raw, expressive energy.

There is something instinctive in its presence. The piece carries a primal, almost volcanic force inspired by moments of eruption where pressure transforms into movement, and what lies beneath rises to the surface. Here, disruption becomes design, and the body becomes part of an evolving, geological expression.

The interplay between openness and structure creates a dynamic tension revealing and concealing at once, like fissures exposing layers beneath. It does not simply cover the body it transforms it.

Each piece is developed through a meticulous, hands-on process within our private atelier. No two are ever identical. The variations in texture, tone, and formation are part of the life of the garment, shaped by human hands guided by intention and care. Within our atelier, the act of creation is approached with presence and devotion each garment made as a quiet ritual, where craft becomes a form of prayer.

This piece is made to order as part of our commitment to slow fashion, eliminating excess while preserving the integrity of the design.

Each Gelareh Designs piece is individually crafted upon order. Production timelines are separate from shipping and typically range between 2–4 weeks.

Shipping
We offer free worldwide shipping. Delivery typically takes 4–7 business days once dispatched.
Please note that import duties and local taxes are not included and are the responsibility of the recipient.

Exchanges
Due to the made-to-order nature of our pieces, exchanges are not standard and are accepted only under specific conditions.

We work closely with each client to confirm sizing prior to production. For this reason, we cannot accept exchanges based on incorrect measurements provided at the time of order.

Exchange requests may be considered in the following cases:

* Manufacturing defects or damage

All requests must be submitted within 7 days of receiving the piece and are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

For context, I’m a slim male who prefers fitted, feminine/androgynous silhouettes. This was part of my second order from Gelareh Designs, after being very happy with my first order, and it looks exactly like the photos.

The leather is soft, the raised detailing feels soft but sturdy, and the whole piece is clearly very high quality. The inside feels like a natural, high-quality fabric lining, so it is comfortable to wear for long periods rather than just being something that only looks good in photos.

The fit is excellent and really hugs the torso. It feels almost like a second skin, which is exactly what I was hoping for. Because this is such a close-fitting piece, I really appreciated that the team checked in for extra sizing information, including photos showing my chest and waist measurements, to help make sure the fit would work well. That kind of support makes a big difference when ordering made-to-order fitted pieces.

It also pairs perfectly with the matching Arctora Leggings, and I’m extremely happy with it.
