The Obsidian Coat is one of the most intricate and technically developed pieces within the collection a composition built through hundreds of individually shaped leather panels engineered to move seamlessly across the body. The surface flows like a continuous structure, creating the illusion of uninterrupted lines wrapping around the form without visible side seams.
At the core of the piece lies an exceptionally detailed process of handcraft. More than 350 individual leather panels are precisely cut, shaped, and woven by hand, each developed with its own unique pattern in order to create a seamless directional movement across the body. Rather than relying on traditional construction, the piece is built through a system of interconnected forms that contour and sculpt the silhouette with fluidity and precision.
The leather is carefully cut and woven over a stretch base, allowing the garment to mold naturally to the body while maintaining flexibility and movement. This construction creates a soft, buttery sensation against the skin while preserving the strength and structure of the sculptural surface.
There is something instinctive in its presence. The piece carries a powerful, almost liquid energy where structure dissolves into movement, and the body becomes wrapped in a living architectural form.
The flowing lines create a visual rhythm that moves uninterrupted around the silhouette revealing depth, contour, and dimensionality through motion and light. It does not simply sit on the body it becomes part of it.
Each piece is developed through a meticulous, hands-on process within our private atelier. No two are ever identical. The variations in texture, tone, and panel formation are part of the life of the garment, shaped by human hands guided by intention and care. Within our atelier, creation is approached with presence and devotion each garment made as a quiet ritual, where craft becomes a form of prayer.

Every piece is individually handcrafted and hand-finished, making each garment a unique expression of the process. Due to the artisanal nature of leather treatment, weaving, and material manipulation, color tones and surface textures may vary slightly.
The placement and movement of the individually constructed leather panels may carry subtle distinctions, reflecting the extensive handcraft and precision involved in shaping each garment.
These variations are not imperfections, but part of the identity of the piece. Each garment carries its own presence, shaped by human hands guided by intention and care.
