A sculptural expression of tension, anatomy, and transformed textile form.

The Spined Roped Top is a composition of directional structure and layered surface manipulation each element shaped and placed with intention to contour the body through sculptural linework and anatomical movement. The piece carries a raw yet elevated presence where texture becomes architecture, and the body becomes framed through tension and flow.

At the core of the design lies an exceptionally intricate process of handcraft. What appears as rope-like formations across the surface is in fact created through manipulated textiles and layered construction techniques carefully developed to resemble woven cord and organic structural lines. Each formation is individually shaped, stitched, and assembled by hand to build dimensional movement and tactile depth throughout the garment.

A spine-inspired structure extends through the design, creating a strong anatomical axis that anchors the piece with direction and sculptural rhythm. The flowing linework wraps organically around the body, balancing softness, protection, and architectural precision within the silhouette.

There is something instinctive in its presence. The piece carries a ceremonial, almost primal energy where the body becomes transformed into a living sculptural form.

The contrast between the softness of the textile base and the intensity of the rope-like formations creates a dynamic tension revealing vulnerability and strength simultaneously. Worn fitted to the body, the garment creates a feeling of confidence, individuality, and elevated presence where movement itself becomes part of the visual language of the piece.

The variations in texture, tone, and sculptural formation are part of the life of the garment, shaped by human hands guided by intention and care. Within our atelier, creation is approached with presence and devotion each garment made as a quiet ritual, where craft becomes a form of prayer.

    Each Gelareh Designs piece is individually crafted upon order. Production timelines are separate from shipping and typically range between 2–4 weeks.

    We offer free worldwide shipping. Delivery typically takes 4–7 business days once dispatched.
    Please note that import duties and local taxes are not included and are the responsibility of the recipient.

    Exchanges
    Due to the made-to-order nature of our pieces, exchanges are not standard and are accepted only under specific conditions.

    We work closely with each client to confirm sizing prior to production. For this reason, we cannot accept exchanges based on incorrect measurements provided at the time of order.

    Exchange requests may be considered in the following cases:
    * Verified sizing discrepancy despite confirmed measurements
    * Manufacturing defects or damage

    All requests must be submitted within 7 days of receiving the piece and are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

    Visual Measurement Guide

    Use these visual references to better understand where to place the measuring tape for waist, hip, inseam, and other key measurements.

    How to Measure

    Stand naturally with your arms at your sides. Use a soft measuring tape, keeping it straight, level, and snug — not too loose or tight.

    Chest / Bust

    Measure under your arms around the fullest part of your chest or bust, keeping the tape horizontal.

    Waist

    Measure around your natural waistline, usually slightly above or below the belly button.

    Hips

    With feet together, measure around the fullest part of your hips, keeping the tape horizontal.

    Shoulder

    Measure across your back from one shoulder point to the other.

    Arm Length

    Bend your elbow 90 degrees and place your hand on your hip. Measure from the center back of the neck, across the shoulder and elbow, down to the wrist.

    Torso Length

    Measure from the top of the shoulder down through the fullest part of the bust to the crotch area.

    Rise

    Measure from the inner thigh seam to the top of the waistband. This tells where the pant sits on your waist.

    Inseam

    Measure from the crotch seam down to the bottom of the leg or hem.

    Outseam

    Measure from the top of the waistband down to the hem of the pants.
